OOTD Work Day

Every night before I go to bed I try to set out what I want to wear for work the next day. But lets face it; by the time you remember, you’re already in bed and about to fall asleep.  So very rarely do I actually plan out my outfits in advance. In the morning I hit the snooze button as many times as I can, seeing as I get up for work at 5:30 AM…. yes really, that early.  I have “go-to” outfits for the times I hit the snooze button one too many times and I don’t prepare the night before. This is one of those outfits.

I love pairing red and black together and it has become a go-to color combination for me (I blame this on my boyfriend who used to wear black and red shirts all the time).

Today I came home to a package, which I always get super excited for. I have a bit of a shopping problem; it seems like every week I’m coming home to the UPS guy dropping a different goodie off for me. But today happened to be the perfect item for the day. My new Hunter rain boots.

Now, I am only 5’1 and my feet are rather small, so I opted to get the kid’s Hunter Original Boots over the women’s. The women’s boots run at around $140 a pair and the kids are only $75. This is the main reason why I went for the kids but another reason is because I am so short I was afraid that if I got the women’s that the top of the boot would actually hit my knees and be rather uncomfortable.  The only downside to buying the kid’s boots are that on the back of the boots are two small reflectors, this was made so it would be safer for kids walking outside in the rain. I don’t mind the reflectors much, but I know other people do. Along with the boots I bought a pair of liners to go inside of them for when it’s cold out. Adding the liners into the boots makes them a bit snug, but seeing as I had some wiggle room in the toe area I don’t mind.

I also want to point out how incredibly happy I am with the service of Hunter USA. I decided to buy my boots off of the actual Hunter website rather than Bloomingdales because Hunter had free shipping and they had a wider variety of colors and sizes. I placed my order late Sunday night, probably around 8 o’clock. Monday morning I received an email saying my order had already been processed and was shipped. I got so excited when I checked the shipping tracker to find out my shoes were delivered today, Tuesday! That is a two-day turn around! I am so please with my boots and the services of Hunter and I highly recommend these shoes to anyone looking for a good pair to wear in either the snow or the rain!
