If you know me you know that I am absolutely obsessed with the Olympics. I love everything about the Olympics, winter and summer, although I am partial to the summer because gymnastics is my favorite sport. I watch every single event I can, and I really hate to miss anything. The one thing I can say I do not like is how social media has changed how you watch the Olympics. Because the Olympics are held in different places all over the world, it’s not always in the same time zone that you are in. The events you see in primetime have actually happened almost 12 hours before. With social media being as big as it is, I happen to see results of events before they happen, which for me almost ruins it. I like to see what happens and to root for whom I want to win, but if I go and watch and already know the results it ruins the excitement.

For the women’s figure skating you want to keep an eye out for Russia’s Yulia Lipnitskaya, the gold medal favorite. Read her bio here. You definitely do not want to miss the 15 years old with amazing flexibility and skills. Also keep an eye out for the USA’s Gracie Gold in her Olympic debut.
