Welcome October!

"I'm so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers."
 - L.M. Montgomery (Anne of Green Gables)

Hello everybody! I cannot believe it is finally October! It is starting to be my favorite time of year, which isn't fall like most peoples but it actually the months of October - December. These three months are always my favorite time of the year! Don't get me wrong, I love fall and all pumpkin things as much as the next girl but I love these months more than the season. It's holiday season, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, & New Year! It's all about family, friends  & good food for three months straight! October means that its getting closer to December which means I can start putting The Grinch on repeat everyday! If you know me well, you know that The Grinch That Stole Christmas is my all time favorite movie! I watch it all year round! My boyfriend hates it and refuses to watch the movie with me.

I have created my fall play list on Spotify, which is basically filled with acoustic soothing music. It just seems very fall like to me. Another great thing about this time of year is dark lipsticks! I love wearing red and berry lip colors and it is the perfect time of the year for them! This time of year the air is crisper which means wearing layers! I love bundling up with sweaters, vests, jackets, & scarves! I love how cozy this time of year is. I already spend my mornings curled up in blankets with my cup of tea, but now I can shut the AC off.

Halloween is just around the corner which means I need to plan out my costumes this year! Last year I went for more scary rather than the typical sexy costumes. I got a lot of compliments on one of my costumes and I really enjoyed it, although the hour it took to take all of the makeup off when I got home at night was not fun at all. This year I want to do something different, that people won't be expecting, but I am still on the hunt for a great idea! Let me know if you have any! It's now appropriate to watch Halloween movies everyday! Bring on the Hocus Pocus & Halloween Town marathons! I am also a huge Addams Family fan!

The month of October is also Breast Cancer Awareness month. Breast cancer is the second most common kind of cancer in women & 1 in 8 women will get breast cancer at some point in their life. This is a great time to donate to a good cause & get yourself checked. You can donate here at the Susan G Komen, a non-profit breast cancer organization.

As you can tell I am very excited for this time of year, I would love to know what you're excited about and what you plan on doing!
