Just a thought...

Lately I've been getting messages and emails from people saying things about what I've been posting on Instagram and on my blog. I think people need to realize that the internet serves as a highlight reel. It's a filtered representation of who I am. Judging the character of people based on what they post on the internet is unrealistic. You don't see what they go through on a day to day basis. All of the hate comments that are left on posts, videos, and just talked about can really effect someone. Spread kindness on the internet rather than judgement. I understand that being in the position I am, I put myself on the internet and I put myself out there for people to judge and talk about. But just remember that the person that you say mean and rude comments to is still a person, a human being with real feelings and emotions.

  1. This is so true! I know that for me, my social media can be a highlight reel, too. But it always bothers me when I see people writing negative things all the time. At least sharing highlights is spreading positivity!

  3. So true, but just remember there will always be haters. Usually those haters are jealous of your life and miserable in their own...keep up the good work of being yourself!

Girl, I wouldn't even worry about it! These are your outlets and if people don't care of them, they don't have to look! Keep doing what you are doing! This is their problem NOT yours.

  8. Kyla! That is so not fun! I'm sorry that is happening to you. Don't let the haters get you down. I used to get so anxious at the thought of random strangers bringing me down because of my blog or other social media sites, but I know there are so many other people in the blogging community who are supportive and kind to me. Just remember that we all are supportive of you and I appreciate your presence here!

  9. Giiiiiiiiiiiirl, all you gotta think about is how amazing your blog is, how much happiness it brings to people, how hardworking you are and THE FRIENDS YOU MET BECAUSE OF IT <3 These girls are just sitting behind a computer screen having nothing better to do than bash people that are better than them. All you have to do is turn on your music and sing a big #idfwu hahahahhah. DONT LET ANY BODY GET YOU DOWN!

  22. Sorry people have been rude to you - I'd love to say 'just brush it off' but I know I would take it personally even though they are typically just trolls with too much time on their hands. big hugs!

  23. I'm sorry people have been rude to you.. It's so unfortunate that some people think it's ok to say mean things online. Just ignore it! Easier said than done,. But it's all us bloggers can do :)

  27. I feel you on this one! It took me quite awhile to get to a point where I could just brush off any negativity that came my way. Here is a quote that helped me and I hope it does for you too: "Never let praise go to your head or criticism get to your heart." -Rick Warren

Hang in there. You are doing great things as long as they feel great to you!

  28. yeah the weird thing is they would never really say that to your face either. i'm sorry you're having to deal with people trollin.

  29. People are so strange online - they think they can say anything about anything you share. Obviously you don't share EVERYTHING in your life online. It is your space to say and show whatever you feel pertinent to the audience you have.

  30. I know, but someone always finds something wrong with everyone!

  31. Thank you so much, I try to ignore it!

  32. This is my favorite quote ever, thank you so much for sharing!

  33. This is great! The internet is only a part of our lives and what we blog and post about isn't our entire life. This is why I try to not involve my boyfriend or family too much in anything that I post!
